Identification:  This tiny, elongate species is pink with a magenta line encircling the mantle just inside the white mantle margin. The rhinophores are red-orange and the gills are translucent pink with a red-orange rachis. Natural history:  The only known Thorunna cf. halourga was found in the open on a rubble bottom in a moderately protected location at a depth of 18 m (60 ft). Distribution:  Maui: Thorunna halourga is known from the western Pacific. Taxonomic notes:  It was first recorded in Hawaii from Makena, Maui by PF on Aug. 4, 1989.
