Maximum size: 3.1 mm shell
length.
Identification:
This
species has a slender, straight-sided shell. There are three
spiral keels on each whorl, the apical with prominent angular nodules.
The animal is cream faintly lined with golden brown.
Natural history:
Shells
of Miralda paulbartschi
are moderately common in beach
drift. Live animals are occasionally found in shallow rocky habitats.
According to Kay (1979), shells are found in sand samples to depths of
40 m (131 ft).
Distribution:
Big Island, Maui, Oahu, French Frigate Shoals and Midway.
