The following 40
opisthobranch species are among the most common species in Hawaii. Some
of them are present "all over, all the time" others sporadically or in
particular habitats. Also, we've just selected them based on their
frequency in quantitative samples modified by shell counts from sand
samples and our subjective "averaging of habitats"--other choices are
possible. Please remember that they represent only about 7% of the
species in Hawaiian waters. So, if you can't find an exact match go
