Anaspidea
The order Anaspidea, or sea hares, are benthic herbivores that may feed an a variety of green and red algae as well as cyanobacteria. Cephalic tentacles and rhinophores are large and flattened. The sides of the body extend as parapodia that meet dorsally and may or may not be fused. A small shell is usually present but is often either internal or concealed by the parapodia. Only one  family is known from Hawaii but it includes some of the largest and some of the most common opisthobranchs in state waters.
